When was the last time you used a Telephone booth?

When was the last time you used a Telephone booth? I personally can’t remember the last time I used one. In Shanghai, the booths are still around and some are still actual pay phones. However, there are over 500 former telephone booths that have been converted into WiFi hot spots.

A great innovative way of keeping the phone booth around.

Enjoy!

  1. I’ve seen some Shanghainese ladies locked into hour long conversations shouting into the phone booth, hahaha. They were there one my to the store and back from the store. I can’t remember the last time I used one. Definitely not in Shanghai. I like your “hots pots” typo. Hot, spicy computer stew? Yummy! 🙂

    • You got me! I just corrected my silly mistake. We have to give Kudos to the genius who made the phone booth idea a reality. Great way to up cycle instead of destroying the booths.

By the way, I love Hot Pots… those are delicious! I also recently tried tofu cooked into my soup, not bad at all. I was pleasantly surprised.

      Have a great weekend!

      • Great idea for the phone booth conversion! Hot pot is so awesome. I’m a big fan of tofu also. We tried pig brains in our hot pot once. That was…….interesting. Enjoy your weekend too! Headed off to any of the spots on my lists?

      • Today, Monday, we visited a place called ShuShan. This was in your article dated 08/27/2012. We also made it out to the Sculpture Park. Fantastic time, I’ll be adding photo’s and info soon. Stay tuned and thanks for all the Shanghai information. We have a few other places to visit from your list.

      • SheShan is a great place! Did you go up into the observatory and church? Great view. I’m planning to visit the sculpture park when the weather turns a bit warmer. I really want to go swimming at the artificial lake!
