Why would a glass of coffee be my share for the Weekly Photo Challenge? Well, it’s only the best coffee in the world! Move over Starbucks, my husband is in the Kitchen. This wonderful man of mine get’s up every morning at 5:00 AM and prepares the most delicious glass of coffee ever. If the alarm doesn’t wake me the aroma of the coffee does.
Mike uses the morning hours of solitude in the kitchen to work on his art. Coffee art that is.
It starts with this coffee dripper we found in Shanghai.
We’ve tried tons of different coffee’s here and we found LaVazza to be the best.
While the water is boiling (in a different pan) he starts warming up the milk.
To start the drip process, water is slowly poured into the grounds. The water then drips into the mug.
He removes the mug from the hot water and starts the foam process by hand.
Stir around for a bit to remove large air bubbles.
Slowly pour the foam into the glass.
The drip is complete –
Pour the coffee into a small pitcher
Pour the coffee into the glass with the foamed milk. Do this slowly and enjoy the separation that begins to take place.
Viola! Only the best coffee in the world!
When the glass is not available I get a cup like this.
So why not buy a coffee maker? Hmm… Lost in translation perhaps? This pot was supposed to be a 3 cup coffee maker… ha ha…
