Happy New Year to all! What a great year 2013 has been for the Smyth family. I’ll write a different post to share our accomplishments, failures, and in progress family events in a later post. For now, I wanted to share our New Years Eve photo’s.
Our New years celebration consisted of pizza making, good music, & lot’s of laughter. It’s a heart warming feeling to know that our circle of good friends and family has extended to China. We are blessed!
Our hosts for the evening – Steve & Jenny Ash. A great couple with whom we’ve enjoyed many a good night.
Steve is as funny as they come. To include the girls in the festivities, this wonderful man decided to include the girls in the pizza making. The girls who really don’t have much exposure to the kitchen loved it and they created a great pizza. Of course we didn’t know how great it would be until after it was cooked.
The trimmings are all laid out and ready for the pizza assembly.
Steve gets the girls going on the pizza making. It all is going perfect at this time…
bahaha.. look at his expression, “Priceless”. His expression is saying, “oh shit, what are they doing”.
This is the meat lovers the girls created, it was delicious!
Hawaiian pizza, YUM! The dough was fantastic too.
These guys have different backgrounds, likes, & dislikes. The stories they can spin are great. I love to sit by the sideline and hear it all. Quite an eclectic bunch!
To the far left is Tim,a quiet electrical engineer and writer. Center – Steve, somewhat of a conservative and brilliant businessman, with a great music library. Far right – That’s my crazy and wonderful husband. A soft spoken Millwright Supervisor, with a strong love for all things natural, an environmental enthusiast.
The three amigos…
Mike and the girls.
Our babies – they sure are growing up. This year I hope to introduce them to the art of culinary (my version). Ha! Heaven help us all.
Were hanging in there but midnight is so far away with 45 minutes left. Oh boy…
Tim – These photo’s are for Tim’s lovely wife Dianne.
For Dianne. Happy New Years.
Mike – He’s hanging on but is wearing down rather quickly.
2013 was a good year – we welcome 2014 with open arms, mind and all that it will offer. We hope to learn more than we know, to be encouraging to those we love, to be the friends we seek in others, to master new recipes, we hope to worry less and live more. Above all, we hope to encourage and be an example of Christ love to others. . The Smyths –
