Travel Theme: Statues

I don’t think I’ve participated in the weekly Travel Theme: Statues hosted by Ailsa over at Where’s My Backpack. However, I loved this week’s theme and decided to give it a try. I have many many photo’s from different statues I’ve been able to photograph. Here I list a few in hopes that you enjoy them as much as I did.

    • Thanks for the note. FYI from the train station, it’s better to take a taxi as the bus is 1.5 hours long to get to the area. The taxi was 118 but only took about 40 minutes. It’s really a nice area to spend the day at. If I go again, I’ll pack some granola bars and snacks for the kids as they don’t really have a nice restaurant to have lunch at in the park. Have a fabulous week!

    • You are very welcome and thanks for stopping by. I don’t get on WP much these day’s as the spring activities and school really are keeping me up at night. Don’t let me kid you though, I’m loving it all.

This country has so much rich history, I so enjoy it. Have a great week!

    • Thank you Debbie,

As I was listing them out and the different locations, I was surprised the different areas the statues were from. I should dig into the archives and pull out some that I know I have but would have to find. I’ll have to read to see if there are rules for more than one post.

Archives – I have quite a mess on my hands as I never took the time to label, rename, organize, or even separate a lot of the photos. Yikes!

Thanks for commenting and have a fabulous week. This Monday morning we are waking to birds chirping, such a lovely sound 🙂

    • Awe, thank you so much. Just like in Catholicism the Buddhist have a Buddha’s for all sorts of protection and reasoning.

A fun share: For years when the girls were little their grandmother used to make them wear a charm of Saint Nicholas the patron saint of children. When I read that there was a children’s Buddha my youngest daughter immediately without me even commenting, said, “I’m not wearing one of those”. Ha!

      Have a fabulous week!
