Haiti Bans Plastic Bags and Foam Containers | Environment News Service

This is really a 2 part post: Kudos to Haiti for trying to work on this crucial environmental issue. We, “mankind”, are creatures of habit and fear the unknown. We are an evolution of innovative people developing and forming greatness. Great minds come up with great ideas, we have to adopt and foster those great ideas to make a difference. Harvey Lacey woke up from a dream bailing not hay but plastic bales. Using plastic bags, trash if you will, to form bales and building houses in third world countries one block at a time. Check out his sight and spread the word – ubuntublox.com

New to blogging….

As you can tell, I’m pretty new at this whole blogging business. I just saw some of my pictures from The Peak with off the wall names on each one. I’ve tried searching for a way to update the name and a caption for each picture; but, I’ll have to come back to this as I’m losing patience with it. Ha! If you know me you know I have very little patience as it is… more to come

Intro blog post…

A bloom

Bloom

Hello family & friends,

How time flies when your having fun! I’ts hard to believe that we have been here for 3 months. This China journey that we are on is one heck of an adventure. Not to mention it is a humbling experience. I’ve decided to start this blog since we have family and friends that refuse to get involved in a social media site. I can’t say that I blame them, it’s so easy to get caught up in the drama of others even when we have no intention of doing so. I hope this blog lends the opportunity to have discussions that we would not have otherwise.

We are loving life right now and have adapted well to the environment & culture (well somewhat). We’ve been challenged and have to make due with certain daily functions such as preparing meals. But, were doing it, it’s amazing how creative we can become when we have and need to.

More to come….
